Tie on a Rapala and catch a world record

MINNETONKA, Minn. (April 16, 2012) – If anglers want to be part of the elite group recognized by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), they best tie on a Rapala.

Once again, Rapala lures caught more IGFA world records than any other lure manufacturer. For 2011, Rapala caught 19 of the registered IFGA catches, with Storm Lures – a member of the Rapala family of brands – hooking five IGFA chart toppers.

“Throughout the year, it’s always thrilling to hear about trophy catches from across the globe,” said Tom Mackin, president of Rapala USA. “Even more so is when they turn out to be a world record. But the most exciting fact is that year after year, Rapala lures are the most trusted and relied upon brand to make a world record happen.”

Rapala lures are responsible for more IGFA world records than any other lure manufacturer in history, holding world record catches on every continent except Antarctica. In fact, Rapala is the first and only lure manufacturer to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award by the IGFA, proving just how effective its lures are on a global basis. All over the world, big fish are eating little fish that swim like a Rapala.

Other notable awards received by Rapala and Respected Rapala Brands include:

  • Rapala Scales: based on their durability, precision and most importantly, accuracy, these scales were the third most trusted brand, weighing 24 IGFA records.
  • Sufix Fishing Line: known for its superb handling, legendary strength and durability, Sufix Fishing Line was used to land five IGFA freshwater records.

“Each year, Rapala designs and produces lures that will catch more-and-bigger fish and we can’t wait to hear about the next record,” said Mackin.

Rapala was unofficially founded in 1936 when Lauri Rapala invented the Rapala fishing lure. Rapala has grown from humble beginnings to a market leader in the fishing tackle industry. The Rapala brand’s functionality and high quality are known by fishermen around the world. Rapala maintains its strict standards of craftsmanship while delivering its fishing products to anglers in more than 130 countries.

Puerto Rico the age is 18. It is also 18 in other places like the Bahamas, Bermuda, Italy, Spain, and I bevleie Cancun/Mexico. Also most of Europe is under the age of 18. It is not unusal for many different ages to drink wine with their meals. Also: the United States is one of the only places that has such a problem with underage drinking. If you go on a cruise though to locations with a lower drinking age than the U.S. some ships require parents signature to drink or do not let you drink at all on the ship unless your 25, but to make sure I would google it.

Fishing supplies and Bass fhsiing help?Alright, so I am an avid spin-reel fisherman. The main game fish I go for is Trout, but am trying to move onto Bass (possibly Northern Pike in the future). I use a lot of basic stuff to fish for Trout, but what would I need for bass? Here's a list of equipment I use:Removable Split Shot (Medium)1/8, 1/4, 1/2 Bell WeightsEagle Claw Snells (Sizes: 12, 8, 6, 4)Berkely Powerbait (Rainbow, Turbo Dough, Sherbert, ect.)RoeLine (Based on 3 Rods: 6lb Test, 8lb Test, 15lb Test (for trolling) all Trilene Dark Green)Lures (Thomas Cyclone, trying out Kastmaster, Jake's Lure, Panther Martin Spinners, Mepps Spinners, Deep Runners, Rattlers, Poppers, and sometimes Rapala)Large, Medium, Small Canadian NightcrawlersFloats and Bobbers (don't use often)SwivelsLine Type: Monofilament (I have Flourocarbon but haven't used it yet)Eagle Claw Nitro Eggs (haven't caught jack with yet :/)Green Label Salmon EggsSO, what can I change or use more for Bass? I'm only 15, so I don't have like a boat or things like that, though I do try to use professional sources. Any accurate answer will work, and be honest. Thanks.
