Randy Howell Surpasses $1 Million in Winnings with BASS

Posted by wfm on April 25, 2012

With Randy Howell's second straight 14th place finish tn.jpgon the Bassmaster Elite Series and third consecutive top-20 he has now surpassed the $1 million earnings mark with BASS.  To date Howell has earned $1,002,327.00 with BASS in 206 events.

During his climb to the million mark Howell has amassed 24 top ten finishes and appeared in the Bassmaster Classic ten times.  He has one victory, one second place finish and one third place finish. His victory came in 2004 on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas. "BASS has been great to me. I enjoy the people who run it, the events themselves and especially the fans of the sport. I am very excited about the new leadership of BASS and I know the future in their hands is very bright. I couldn't ask for a better job and Robin and I feel blessed to be a part of the sport of fishing, I would like to also thank all of our partner sponsors along the way for making this a reality." Howell expressed.

Along with this milestone Howell's hot start to the 2012 season has cemented him as a contender in the Angler of the Year race for the 2012 Elite Series Season.  Howell sits in 2nd place behind his good friend Brent Chapman only 23 points behind the Kansas based Chapman. "Brent's a good friend and we work together quite a lot on tour, I know he's going to work hard at every tournament and it's going to take some great fishing to catch him. I will continue to work hard and leave it in the lord's hands to how that ends up. Brent and I seen to have the right formula and we'll stick to it all year and no matter how it ends up our friendship will not be effected," Howell stated.

You can own a piece of BASS history by winning Howell's boat this year. For the second year in a row, Howell will be giving away his boat to one lucky donator to King's Home.  King's Home is a faith based charity in Alabama and provides homes for abused, neglected and abandoned children as well as abused women. You will receive one chance to win the boat for every $100 donation to King's Home. Visit www.KingsHome.com for more information and to donate.  As a second option to contribute to King's Home you can purchase a Randy Howell/King's Home T-shirt from their site for $20 (including shipping) with all proceeds going to support the King's Home.

EdgeChristianRandy OrtonEvan BourneCody RhodesI like Orton, Bourne, and Rhodes cause they kinda look like my bniyrfeod with the hair and the face (obviously my bniyrfeod is not nearly as muscular!) And I like Edge because I knew him before he was famous (he went to the same highschool as my cousin) and Christian kinda looks a little bit like him. LOL

I once heard a talk about raising goenvnmert grants for social ventures. The speaker was talking about how difficult it is to raise funds for a venture falls between non-profit and for-profit, as his venture could produce modest returns, but primarily was for social purposes. Because he was planning to have some return on investment, he wasn't able to get certain goenvnmert grants. I would be interested to hear about options for raising capital for ventures that are not completely non-profit, but don't expect IRRs of 30-50%. Ventures that return 0-10% or even some loss, but serve a social cause seem like a great investment for a goenvnmert that is already writing off losses. Thank you.
